After exploring our park and observing our 15 peacocks, immerse yourself in the world of winemaking by visiting our cellars, where tradition and innovation come together. You will discover the process of making our wines, from harvesting the grapes to bottling, including aging in oak barrels.

Then, treat yourself to a moment of relaxation in our secret garden. Let yourself be enchanted by the gentle murmur of the fountain and the song of the birds, in a peaceful and serene setting. It's the perfect place for a tasting of our best wines, accompanied by an appetizer board of cheeses and cured meats, carefully selected to enhance the flavors of our wines.

About the host

The château has been listed as a historical monument since 2012.

Château Citran is a historic wine estate located near Margaux in the Médoc region. Its emblem is the peacock, visible on its bottle labels and also in the château's vast park where these magnificent birds roam freely.

Since 1996, the Merlaut family, already deeply rooted in the Bordeaux wine world, has managed this splendid estate. Today, Château Citran encompasses 70 hectares of vineyards in the Haut-Médoc appellation, planted with carefully selected grape varieties to thrive in this unique terroir: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot.

At Château Citran, tradition and modern techniques come together, both in the vineyard and in the cellar, to create elegant, refined, and exceptionally fine wines.
